Instructions & Treatment Dosage Rate
Initial Dosage:
Preparation: Shake the bottle well before use and turn off your UV light for the first 3 treatments.
Application: Add 4 teaspoons (tsp) [20 mL] of Koi Pharma® Koi Defender per 1,000 gallons of water every 3 days for 3 treatments.
Follow-Up: After the initial treatments, add 4 tsp [20 mL] of Koi Pharma® Koi Defender per 1,000 gallons of water once a week for 2 weeks.
Maintenance Dosage:
Add 2 tsp [10 mL] per 1,000 gallons of water once a week to maintain water quality and fish health.
Dosage by Water Temperature:
50°F - 62°F: Double (2x) the dosage rate.
63°F - 69ºF: Use 1.5x the dosage rate.
69ºF and Higher: Follow the normal dosage rate as listed above.
Optimal Water Parameters:
pH: 7 - 9
Total Alkalinity: 80 ppm or higher
Temperature: 50°F and Higher
