OASE BioSmart flow through bio-mechanical filters clean and clear pond water which returns to the pond by gravity. The BioSmart filters uses multiple filter zones to slow water, remove debris and provide a surface area for beneficial bacteria. As the water velocity slows in the filter, fine particles in suspension settle and are trapped in the filter zones. There's no need to remove or manually unclog the filter foams to clean. There are three types of high-surface area filter foams that provide exceptional biological filtration capacity to remove ammonia and nitrites. The BioSmart qualifies for the OASE Clear Water Guarantee when paired with the proper pump and UVC Clarifier. It includes filter foams, a 3" Sch40 outlet adapter and metric step fittings. The BioSmart 5000 has a 3” outlet, a maximum flow of 1,450 GPH and hose sizes of 0.75” to 1.5”. The dimensions are 22”L x 22”W x 16”H and has a pond volume of up to 5,000 gallons. It has a 3-year warranty.

The BioSmart 5000 has a light fish load of less than 5,000 gallons, a medium fish load of less than 5,200 gallons and a heavy fish load of less than 1,250 gallons. It’s compatible with the Vitronic 18 UVC and both AquaMax Eco Classic 1900 and AquaMax Eco Premium 2000.

The BioSmart 10000 has a light fish load of less than 10,000 gallons, a medium fish load of less than 5,000 gallons and a heavy fish load of less than 2,500 gallons. It’s compatible with the Vitronic 36 UVC and both AquaMax Eco Premium 3000 and AquaMax Eco Classic 2700.
